We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support a K12 caseload in a school setting for the 20252026 academic year in Baltimore, Maryland. This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students lives by addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs within an educational environment.
As a School Social Worker, you will provide critical support to students, helping them navigate challenges both in and out of the classroom. Youll collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and community resources to ensure students have the tools and support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Develop and implement intervention strategies to promote student well-being and academic success.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create comprehensive student support plans.

Conduct assessments to identify student needs and determine appropriate services.

Facilitate communication between the school and families to ensure cohesive support.

Coordinate with external agencies and community resources to provide additional services to students.

Offer crisis intervention as needed, addressing urgent mental health or safety concerns.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
Qualifications:

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

Active Maryland Social Work License (LMSW or LCSW).

Previous experience in a school setting preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
